2-Party Payment Processing

Step 1. The Cardholder places an order or initiates a payment with the merchant via the merchant's website, call centre, IVR, or ERP system. Credit card details are collected by the merchant and processed through the merchant's business application.

Step 2. The business application communicates with the Payment Server via one of the integration interfaces provided and sends the payment transaction to the Payment Server for authorisation.

Step 3. The Payment Server authorises the payment with the bank.

Step 4. The business application receives a message from the Payment Server including the authorisation response from the bank.

Step 5.  The business application interprets the result from the Payment Server and responds accordingly to the cardholder.

For merchants who do not want the responsibility of securing their website and customer's credit card details, an alternative approach is the 3-party process.
